Interested in building a new house? The Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), for the first time in five years, has residential lots for sale. These lots are being sold, at their market value, through the Bloomington Single-Family Program. The available lots were acquired to remove deteriorated and substandard single-family housing with the intent to replace it with new higher value housing. All properties were acquired voluntarily.

To be an eligible purchaser, you must be either the future owner occupant of the house and retain or have under contract a builder or be a builder who will develop the property on speculation and has the demonstrated financial ability to complete quality home construction. The successful buyer will be required to enter into a development agreement for the construction of a new house, within twelve months of the agreement date. All house plans will be reviewed for appropriateness.
