Join the Housing and Redevelopment Authority on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. for an opportunity to learn about home improvements from the experts.

Each seminar will last about 60 - 90 minutes, including time for questions and answers. All seminars are free and open to the public.

There is no registration, just come as you are.

• June 23, 2011
  Choosing and Installing the Proper Water Heater for your Home – This seminar will also include information on water softeners, water filter systems and information on tankless water heaters, pros and cons.
• July 21, 2011
  Do-It-Yourself Bathroom Remodeling – A review of what you can do to upgrade your bathroom, including installing a new toilet, changing a faucet, installing a new vanity or pedestal sink, installing a new bathtub or shower, retiling bathroom floors and walls and upgrading lighting.
• August 18, 2011
  Winterize Your Home and Reduce Energy Costs – A review of some simple steps that you can take to improve the energy efficiency of your home. Including weather stripping doors and windows, maintaining your furnace for maximum efficiency, wrapping your water pipes, proper use of your thermostat and other seasonal tips to prevent or minimize ice dams, prevent pipes from freezing and more.
