Maps of Bloomington census tracts and block groups

For the purposes of reporting census results, the Census Bureau divides cities and counties into census tracts. Census tracts are further subdivided as block groups, which in turn are further subdivided as blocks. For the 2000 census, the Census Bureau divided Bloomington into 21 census tracts and into 77 block groups. Block group boundaries in Bloomington changed substantially from 1990 to 2000, making it necessary to do citywide comparisons between 1990 and 2000 data at the tract level.
