2008 Miscellaneous issues ordinanceZoning ordinance updateThe miscellaneous issues ordinance is an annual ordinance to resolve discrepancies and improve the clarity of those sections of the City Code that relate to land development and zoning. Items included will typically be minor amendments that may not on their own merit the overhead of drafting, reviewing, publishing and hearing an ordinance.
Zoning ordinance title: "AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING SIGN VARIANCE REQUESTS FOR DISPLAY DURATION AND TIMING TO BE HEARD BY THE HEARING EXAMINER; ADDING FINDINGS FOR SIGN VARIANCE REQUESTS FOR DURATION AND TIMING; CLARIFYING THAT SIGN PERMITS ARE ONE TIME FEES; REMOVING A 30 DAY PROCESSING REQUIREMENT FOR SIGN PERMITS; CLARIFYING PARKING LOT PERMIT REQUIREMENTS; MODIFYING PARK DEDICATION STANDARDS; ADDING AND /OR MODIFYING DEFINITONS AND STANDARDS FOR CARPORTS, FISH HOUSES, PRIVATE GARAGES AND THROUGH LOTS; ALLOWING COVERED BUT OPEN PORCHES AS A PERMITTED REAR ENCROACHMENT; RECLASSIFYING GROUP FAMILY DAY CARE FACILITIES AS PERMITTED ACCESSORY USES IN THE R-1 ZONING DISTRICT; ADDING "HOTEL AIR PORT PARKING" AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN ZONING DISTRICTS WHERE HOTELS ARE ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR THE R-4 DISTRICT; DELETING REFERENCE TO THE HOMART PROJECT OVERLAY DISTRICT; RECLASSIFYING LICENSED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE ENTERPRISES AS A PROVISIONAL USE IN THE CX-2 DISTRICT; CLARIFYING THE TYPE AND NUMBER OF NON-RE SIDE NTIAL VEHICLES ALLOWED IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; SETTING STORAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR FISH HOUSES AND STORAGE PROHIBITIONS FOR TENTS AND CANOPIES; PROHIBITING STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES IN REAR YARDS ADJACENT TO PUBLIC STREETS; ESTABLISHING THE INTENT OF TENT AND CANOPY STANDARDS; AMENDING HOME ENTERPRISE STANDARDS; CLARIFYING THAT MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL AND TOWNHOME GARAGE SPACES MUST BE FULLY ENCLOSED; SHIFTING THE LOCATION OF TEXT PERTAINING TO CONFLICTING PROVISIONS AND SEVERABILITY AND CORRECTING MULTIPLE REFERENCE ERRORS THEREBY AMENDING CHAPTERS 2, 14, 15, 16, 19, and 21 OF THE CITY CODE."
