Kite flyers of all ages are invited to the annual Kite Day Celebration. Kite Day is a free event that will take place at Valley View Playfields. Free kites and beach balls will be provided to kids under 18 (while supplies last).
Don't miss entertainment by Kid Power with Rachael, Bob and the Beachcombers, and Dance Endeavors. New to this year's event will be bol kite races with the Minnesota Kite Society and a new kite making workshop for all ages. Design, create and fly your very own kite! Enjoy fun and games provided by The Works, Kids Safari, Early Childhood Family Center, Bloomington Sister City Organization, and Bloomington Police Dept. The annual kite flying contest with prizes for highest flying, youngest kite flyer and most unique kite is also included.
