A little time and energy can make a big difference.

Bloomington Youth Service Days are designed to:

  • Empower young people.
  • Highlight their ongoing contributions to Bloomington.
  • Mobilize their energy, commitment, and idealism through service.

Youth undertake projects initiated in schools, families, neighborhoods and community organizations. City projects are designed to clean up Bloomington parks and wetlands and to help city residents clean up their yards. Bloomington Human Services, Parks and Recreation, Park Maintenance, and Recycling/Solid Waste Divisions coordinate projects.

Recognition Breakfast

All young people who work on service projects during Bloomington Youth Service Days are invited to the Mayor's Volunteer Recognition Breakfast.
