Transportation:
City of Bloomington Bus Service

Human Services operates a bus service for transportation within Bloomington city limits only. Trips are available Monday - Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Primary service is to and from Creekside Community Center. Other personal trips such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, employment, etc. may be scheduled based on availability.

Eligible riders

  • Older adults.
  • People with disabilities.
  • Others based on space availability.

Fees

  • Adults: $3.25 each way (2009 rate).
  • Youth (6-17): $1.50 each way.
  • Youth summer: $1 each way.
  • Children 5 and under: Free.

Scheduling

  • Call one day (by noon) to one week in advance of trip.
  • Reservations accepted from older adults and people with disabilities first. Other riders may call one day before trip (by noon) to schedule a trip based on space availability.

Other

  • Group route, door to door service.
  • Wheelchair lift-equipped.
  • Connects with BE LINE and Metro Transit.
