As a part of our Arts in the Parks programs, the sounds of summer will echo throughout Normandale Bandshell (unless otherwise noted) with the Twin Cities most sought after musicians and concert bands. Introducing our new Hillside Jazz Series, Jazz fans wont want to miss these premier jazz events on select Tuesdays.

Minnesota Symphonic Winds
Performs concert band classics and is considered by many to be the finest concert band in the state. This group will kick of the Evening Performance Series at Normandale Lake Bandshell for 2013.

University of Minnesota Alumni Band
The University of Minnesota Alumni Band provides a means for alumni of the University bands to carry on the traditions of excellence which have made the University of Minnesota Band the finest in the land since 1892.

Bloomington Medalist Band
The Bloomington based Medalist Concert Band has provided some of the finest concert band music for over a quarter century.

Celtic Solstice featuring Laura and the Lads
Laura and The Lads perform the best in traditional Celtic music featuring Laura Mackenzie and the area’s finest Celtic performers playing the traditional tunes from Ireland and Great Britain.

Bloomington Symphony Orchestra
The BSO is a volunteer community orchestra made up of talented professional, semi-professional and amateur musicians who are selected through a highly competitive audition process. The BSO performs major symphonic works at accessible church, school, park and community center locations in the south and southwest Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
