Ski and snowboard instructors neededWork with an individual who has a developmental disability![]() Help out and have fun! Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE) is looking for 60 - 70 volunteers to teach individuals with developmental disabilities how to ski or snowboard at Hyland Hills in Bloomington this winter. The program serves about 60 students of various ages and abilities each year. If you are an intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder, we will train you to teach skiing or snowboarding to an individual with a developmental disability such as autism, attention deficit disorder, down syndrome and learning disabilities. As a volunteer, you will get to ski or snowboard with a great individual for 2 hours each Thursday for 7 weeks! Also, each Thursday you will receive a lift ticket starting at 4 p.m. and free ski or snowboard rental. You can ski or snowboard for free before and after lesson time with your student. Important dates
To volunteer or to learn more, visit www.richfieldrecreation.com or contact Kelly Mertes at 612-861-9361 / kmertes@cityofrichfield.org. Thank you. Without volunteers, this program could not be the huge success that it is!
