Playground Partnership Program

Three weeks of FREE playground fun!

Join your friends for an AWESOME experience at at Westwood Park (3490 West 109th Street) or Smith Park (8155 Park Avenue South) during the week of July 2 and the two weeks before school starts. Activities include games, sports, and arts and crafts.

Dates:
- July 2 - 6 (no programming on July 4).
- August 20 - 24.
- August 27 - 31.
Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Ages: 6 - 12 years old.
Cost: Free! Emergency contact and registration form are required.

Program notes

The program is not a daycare. We offer opportunities for children to come to neighborhood parks and participate in a fun, supervised and safe environment. This is a drop-in program, so kids are allowed to come and go as they please. Parents are encouraged to set boundaries and communicate limits with their children before they allow them to attend the program.

Please ensure that participants have:

Clothing appropriate for the day's weather conditions.
Sunscreen.
A water bottle.

This free program is supported and funded by Bloomington Crime Prevention, Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, the City of Bloomington, Bloomington Public Schools and Normandale Highlands United Methodist Church.

Weather policy

Playgrounds may close if the weather is not ideal for programming.
Should weather become severe during the day, the Recreation Supervisor will determine if the program will be cancelled.
