Community
In the community we are . . .
- Increasing resources
for fresh produce.
- Promoting the Richfield Farmers Market and improving access to the market for all residents.
- Supporting more opportunities for active transportation - like biking.
- Supported the City of Richfield in developing a Master Bike Plan which was adopted by the City Council in 2012. The plan includes new bike lanes and facilities that will make it easier for
Richfield residents to bike to schools, parks, businesses and other destinations.
- The City of Richfield adopted
a "Complete Streets" policy
giving Richfield's residents more
opportunities for physical
activity in their daily lives.

- Supporting further development and integration of schoolyard gardens for learning, health and physical activity.

Worksites
In worksites we are . . .
- Collaborating with do.town to support a Worksite Wellness Coalition that engages employers to support healthy choices in the workplace.
Investing in the health of employees is one of the most important steps an employer can take to reduce healthcare costs and improve productivity. Employers participating in the Worksite Wellness Coalition receive a series of free consultations from a team of Blue Cross Blue Shield wellness experts. They also receive tools and templates to ensure success.
