Iron Girl Duathlon Run/Bike Race

On Sunday, September 27, an Iron Girl women's duathlon race will take place in the vicinity of Normandale Lake Park, with a 2-mile run, 22-mile cycle, and additional 2-mile run.

The City of Bloomington is working with the event's organizers to promote the safety of participants and onlookers and to minimize disruption for Bloomington residents.

Temporary road closures

The following roads will be closed during the event:

  • Southbound East Bush Lake Road from the Chalet Road to 106th St. intersection.
  • Northbound West Bush Lake Road from Veness to 78th Street.
  • Chalet Road between West 84th Street and Mount Norman Drive.

Course route

  1. Normandale Lake Park on Chalet Road North to East Bush Lake Road.
  2. South on East Bush Lake Road to Old Shakopee Road.
  3. West on Old Shakopee Road to Bloomington Ferry Road.
  4. North on Bloomington Ferry Road to Veness Road.
  5. North on Veness Road until making a left onto West Bush Lake Road.
  6. North on West Bush Lake Road to 78th Street.
  7. East on 78th Street to East Bush Lake Road.
  8. South on East Bush Lake Road to 84th and Chalet.
