Unsolicited calls regarding water testing

Many of our residents and businesses have received unsolicited calls from a private water testing, and point-of-use water purification company, Crystal Canyon/Eco Water Systems, offering free water testing. Many of our customers who have been approached by this company indicate the solicitor is giving the impression that this is a citywide testing program and that Bloomington has contracted with Crystal Canyon/Eco Water Testing to test homeowners' water.

This company has no relationship with the City. There is no citywide testing program by any outside contractor occurring, as the City has a certified lab that heavily monitors the drinking water system on an on-going basis. If you are contacted by, or approached by representatives of this, or any other company who represents themselves as working for or with the City to test your drinking water, please contact our water treatment plant staff at 952-563-4905 to alert us of this fact.
