The Assessor's OfficeThe Assessor's Office establishes the estimated market value for property tax purposes, oversees the appeals process and classifies property according to its use such as residential homestead and nonhomestead, commercial, industrial and apartment. Special classifications such as blind and disabled homesteads are administered as well. Also, the Assessor's Office administers the collection of special assessments, maintains the City's primary property database and provides interdepartmental property appraisals and research.
