Trouble viewing PDF in browser

 

If you are experiencing difficulty downloading the job application, please be sure you are using Acrobat 6 or newer and try the steps below.

Portable Document Format (PDF) files

get Acrobat ReaderYou must have a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader® 6 or newer installed on your computer to view and print these PDF files. Acrobat Reader is available free from Adobe Systems, Inc.

All PDF documents on our site are also available in print. Please contact the appropriate department for more information.

Using Acrobat Reader

Some browsers open PDF files by default within the browser window, others download the PDF file to your computer. Depending on your computer and your intended use of the PDF, it may work best to first download PDF files from our site, and then open them directly in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

On a PC using Windows®, to download a file to your computer right-click on the file link and choose "Save Target As..." from the menu that appears. On a Macintosh®, try option-clicking the link. If these suggestions don't work, check your browser's help files to see how to download a file from its link to your hard drive or network, or try the steps below.

Possible Error Message

"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser, Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try again."

If the file does not download or you receive the above error, please try deselecting "Display PDF in browser" in your preferences, say OK and then open Edit>Preferences again and select "Display PDF in browser" and say OK. See the detailed steps below.

Deselect [ ] Display PDF in browser

  • Select Edit > Preferences…
  • Go to the Internet category
  • Select [X] Display PDF in browser
  • Press OK
