Buses to replace Hiawatha Line light rail service

Light rail service will be suspended on the south end of the Hiawatha Line external link this weekend beginning at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. During the scheduled maintenance work, Route 55 buses will substitute for light rail trains between Airport Terminal 2–Humphrey Station and Mall of America Station.

Light rail service to Airport Terminal 2–Humphrey Station, American Boulevard Station, Bloomington Central Station and 28th Avenue Station will resume at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13.

Route 55 bus service will continue between 28th Avenue Station and Mall of America Station until 3:30 a.m. on Monday, October 15.

Route 55 bus schedules are similar to light rail schedules, but bus trips will take longer than train rides. Customers should plan accordingly. Rider Alerts will be posted at stations with details and station-specific maps external link to direct customers to Route 55 bus service.
