To find updates regarding other projects, go to major road construction projects. October 2011October 21, 2011Punch list work remains to be completed. October 13, 2011Concrete work is wrapped up. The contractor will be finishing turf restoration on Monday, October 17. Also, during the week of October 17 the striping and signs will be installed. October 7, 2011Paving of the last two trail segments, is scheduled for Monday, October 10, weather permitting. The concrete work got pushed off until after the pavement is placed and is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, October 12. Restoration of the site will continue. September 2011September 30, 2011Wall construction is expected to be complete the end of the day on September 30. Once the wall work is complete, trail removals and grading for the last segments near the wall will begin. Turf restoration adjacent to the paved trail segments is scheduled for the week of October 3. September 23, 2011Work on the retaining walls will continue the week of September 26. Restoration along the segments that were recently paved (Zinran to 106th) will be proceeding with seeding scheduled for September 29 & 30. Concrete work at intersections for pedestrian ramps and sidewalk repair is also scheduled for the week of September 26. September 16, 2011Concrete footing installation for the retaining wall has begun and work on the walls will continue the week of September 19. Storm sewer is all installed. The electrical contractor will be working on relocating wiring for signals and lighting. Once this work is complete the south portion of the trail can be paved. This could happen later next week or the week of September 26. September 9, 2011Storm sewer installation in front of the retaining wall will occur the week of September 12. The replacement of the existing retaining wall construction may begin towards the end of the week. The contractor will continue removing pavement, grading and installing rock along the trail. Removals are anticipated to be complete by September 16. September 6, 2011The contractor will be removing pavement on Tuesday, September 6. Removals and grading will continue throughout the week.
August 2011August 26, 2011The contractor anticipates beginning construction on the project after Labor Day and being complete before Halloween. August 12, 2011The preconstruction meeting has been held. The contractor anticipates beginning construction on the project after Labor Day and being complete before Halloween. August 5, 2011The contract was awarded at Council on Monday, August 1. A preconstruction conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 11. The contractor anticipates beginning construction at the retaining walls on Tuesday, September 6, provided all the contracts, insurance and other requirements are completed by then.
